Throughout August, we have embraced our nation's favourite pasttime by watching, playing and enjoying lots of sport! 

Each centre had a visit from Kelly Sports, which is a popular multi-sports incursion that teaches children valuable gross motor skills. Kelly Sports’ goal is to help children get active, develop skills and confidence, and gain a lifelong love of sports. They encourage children to have fun while teaching them fundamental movement skills through play that form an important part of a child's development and enable them to learn the skills required for sports and prepare them for a healthy, active life.

The program was so successful that we have decided to add it to our centres on a regular rotation, starting from Term 4. Kelly Sports will be visiting each childcare centre once per month on a Wednesday, starting with Glen Iris Child Care and Kindergarten on Wednesday 4th October, 2023.

On top of that, World Cup Fever took over the centres just as much as it did Australia, so we also donned green and gold to show our support for the Matildas prior to their semi-final match against England. It was so wonderful seeing the children light up with excitement when talking about soccer, and we were so proud to see young girls getting just as excited about it as the boys were.
