Recently, we have had some very special visitors at three of our childcare centres!

The Henny Penny Chicken Hatching Program stopped by with their incubators full of eggs ready to hatch. Inside the eggs are some very fluffy baby chicks who have now just joined us!

The children have been overjoyed watching them arrive as eggs in their warm incubator and then hatching into some very cheeky baby chickens. We now have chicks of many different colours, and they certainly like to make lots of noise! The children love to hold them, pat them, and feel their soft feathers. It has been such a wonderful learning experience watching the lifecycle before our very eyes.

Our chicks at Kids on Gallaghers Child Care Centre in Glen Waverley have now found new homes, and are enjoying getting to know their new families. However, the chicks at Glen Iris Childcare & Kindergarten and Wheelers Hill Child Care Centre will still be with us until July 21st. If you would like to adopt one at the end of the program, please let us know.

The program will be visiting Kids on Mullum Child Care Centre in Ringwood on September 4th, so please stay tuned for those updates. 

When you are next visiting Glen Iris or Wheelers Hill, please make sure to pop into their kinder rooms to meet our new friends. The children would love to introduce you.
